The Canadian show impresario paid $6.9 million cash for a trio of new warehouses at 300, 310 and 320 Northeast 60th Street in Little Haiti.
Laliberte, who founded Cirque du Soleil in 1984 and still owns a stake in the entertainment company, is partnering with Magic City developers, Tony Cho, Bob Zangrillo and Plaza Equity Partners on the planned $1 billion mixed-use project.
The buildings total more than 19,000 square feet, with each warehouse including about 4,800 square feet of warehouse space and 800 square feet of office space on the ground floor, as well as about 800 square feet of office space on the second floor, according to marketing materials. They were completed this year.
This is a true super deal with $400 per foot for the warehouse sale in Miami.
