Location is superb and lots of locals been going to Knife-the Argentinean steak house on the plaza for quite some time ( it will have to move or get a space at the new building?).I should probably bitch about the traffic this will create, but in reality this is soo exciting to see the area blooming with great structures!
UNSTudio/Trachtenberg are the design architects and sure did one magnificent job on this one.

As you can see this is the email I have gotten from my association with the proposal just yesterday, Obviously, time is of an essence if we have to reply by September the 1st.With my condo it should be like that due to the large number of Cuban and Italian retirees, cause they all would wanna take time. This 1983 Morris Lapidus designed southernmost building in Sunny Isles Beach has some drama going on. Its nine stories and has only 48 units. That makes it super attractive for the developer, cause to the north you have construction of the -Ritz Carlton Sunny Isles, but to the South Haulover with nude beaches and marina to the west that will never get obstructed views! Its located at 15645 Collins ave. So the mr Defortuna, whos building the Ritz next door bought five units in the Tropicana that succesffully reduced the number of owners ready to go for the dissolution from %100 and would not allow the condo to sell out. So the legal battle started when there were offers up to $100 million to the unit owners, while Grasskopf/Defortuna had only offered $50 million to the Tropicana owners and %10 Edgarts ownership had successfully blocked the sale of the building. So, today there’s just one unit on the market for $999,000 2/2 with 1283 living space square footage. And the future will show cause within the next two years the Ritz will be built and then am sure more waves will coming on the horizon. Either way the clock of Sunny Isles Beach Tropicana condominium is definitely ticking.
