Cool fact about the town: Residents love horses!
In 1947, Miami Springs (of which it was then a part) passed an ordinance outlawing horses from the city limits. In response, about 50 citizens decided to break away and form their own city.
This small town, population 2,461 (2013 census), has it Boeing office and is very close to the Miami International airport. Only four houses for sale are available, starting at $275,000 and up to $388,000. This area is close to absolutely everything and is not really being talked about. From the Gardens, you can get to downtown in minutes and beaches are just 15 minutes away. If you don't mind listening to the planes in your sleep and dreaming about cold winters and high mountains, this might be a place to park your cash. Very rarely do we get deals here, very limited.
